We would like to extend a thank you to all who were able to attend the 2008 USC/Columbia Technology Incubator Graduation on December 1, 2008. Also, congratulations to our three recent graduate companies: Alala; Spanish Vines; and DigitalDerm. As the evening began it was a pleasure to hear from President Emeritus, Dr. Andrew Sorensen about the importance of collaboration between the University of South Carolina and the City of Columbia. Dr. Sorensen then introduced Dean Hildy Teegen of the Darla Moore School of Business who spoke about the growth of sustainable economic development within the Moore School of Business and in Columbia and the importance of educating our future business leaders on the importance of entrepreneurship in all business ventures. After presentations from the graduate companies; Alala, Spanish Vines and DigitalDerm, guests enjoyed appetizers catered by Crossings Deli.
